The cyber rules a ship is built to. E26 covers the resilience of the vessel as a whole, E27 the on-board systems and equipment inside it; together they are applied by every IACS classification society, which makes them a condition of class rather than advice. They reach the shipyard and the equipment maker, not only the owner.
