British Columbia's private-sector privacy act, the provincial counterpart to PIPEDA: it displaces the federal act for organisations operating inside the province, covers employee personal information — which PIPEDA does not — and is enforced by the province's own Information and Privacy Commissioner. An organisation with a BC office answers to this act rather than to PIPEDA for the information it handles there.
