The binding information security standard for every APRA-regulated bank, insurer and superannuation fund in Australia. It makes the Board accountable for information security, requires controls sized to the threat and tested for effectiveness, and obliges an entity to notify APRA of material incidents. Unlike guidance, it is a legislative instrument: breaching it is breaching the law.
