The UK data protection regime, read as two documents at once: the assimilated General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 that gives it effect and fills its national gaps. Since leaving the EU regime the two have diverged from their European originals, which is precisely why they need watching separately from GDPR.
